1. What made you choose to adopt not shop?
We had our sons dog from Romania staying with us while they saved for a house and this made us want to adopt as she was so lovely and got on well with our resident dog.
2. What is Lucy's backstory?
We saw our beautiful girl on Muscat Adoption site who was being fostered by Hina in Muscat after her friend had found her in a park in a very poor condition with deceased puppies. She was on dogs blog and we totally fell in love with her sweet little face and sad story.
3. What was the most surprising thing you found about adopting a street dog?
The surprising thing we have felt was the instant love and feeling of protection toward this little piece of perfection she is our world. We are reward with trust and love from a dog who experienced cruelty from humans in the past.
4. What were some challenges, and how did you overcome them?
Challenges we have overcome are trust on her part, and although she was frightened of loud bangs, she always tried her best and by consistency in routine on our part she has grown in confidence which makes us so proud of her.
The other challenge was her unexpected poor vision from a congenital issue but she is the one who overcomes this everyday from enormous bravery on her part. She follows and learns from our other elderly dog who is 13, an amazing teacher especially of how to go up stairs to bed! On this health issue Lucy is insured and we had no difficulty in insuring a rescue dog.
5. How did your wadi change your life?
How has a Wadi changed our life... she has brought such love and beauty into our lives while we watch her, she humbles us to be better people and enjoy life even under difficult circumstances. As so many wadi do, that is their strength and inspiration.
6. What is your favourite thing about your wadi?
Our favourite thing is absolutely HER!
